What is BIMI?
Brand Indicators for Message Identification is a new standard being piloted by Google, Yahoo Mail, and other leading email receivers, which enables the use of brand-controlled logos within supporting email clients. When an organization has implemented DMARC at enforcement (rejecting or quarantining bad emails) — attesting that its emails cannot be impersonated — BIMI brings that brand’s logo into its customers’ inboxes. These logos appear in the inbox alongside messages sent from the organization’s domain — and they’re visible before users open the messages.

What are the requirements for BIMI?
- DMARC at enforcement (p=reject or quarantine)
- Proof of logo ownership (trademark)
- Logo image file in the correct format (a square Scaled Vector Graphic (SVG) logo that must follow the restrictions defined by the SVG Tiny 1.2 profile published by the W3C in 2008).

Millions of impressions at your fingertips
Position your brand to garner millions of impressions even before an email is opened. In its initial pilots, BIMI implementation has shown a 10% increase in open rates — and that’s on top of the average 10% increase in deliverability that DMARC at enforcement provides. Learn more at bimigroup.org.
